Exploring the Iron age

We are lucky to be living in an area with such a diverse and rich history. If you count the local geology there is several hundred million years of documented history within 5 miles of home.

I hope that my attempts at "passive" education of my offspring has some positive influence on them. Saying that I do get the definite impression that both my girls are merely humouring me! Still we are making memories that will last. I have uploaded a selection of photos that I took during our recent exploration of Blackberry Camp, a local Iron aged fort. maintained by English Heritage, it is a lovely place to visit, and explore. We also took the opportunity to do the two geocaches in close proximity.

whilst exploring the adjacent woods we discovered the front sub frame of an extremely old car, no identifying markings, but eye catching nonetheless.

Thank for reading, till next time dc
